JoraSpeaks is a local-first English practice app. This policy describes how the current mobile app build handles your data — the short version is that your learning stays on your device.
No account, no ads, no tracking. Your profile, progress, XP, streaks and preferences are stored locally on your device. Nothing is sold, and there are no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
The app stores your learning profile details, progress, XP, streaks, selected level, downloaded lesson state, and app preferences locally on your device.
The app does not sell subscriptions, process payments, or collect payment details.
The current iOS app does not request microphone or speech-recognition access. It does not record, store, transmit, or analyse your voice. Pronunciation exercises use on-device text-to-speech for listen-and-repeat practice, followed by an optional self-assessment.
The app uses a local-only profile for onboarding and progress. It does not create a server account.
The app does not include third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
We do not sell personal data. We may share data only when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to operate services that are clearly described in the app.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled, your on-device app data may be included in that backup and restored when you set up a new device. This is handled by iOS under Apple's privacy terms; JoraSpeaks does not operate a server that receives this data.
JoraSpeaks is intended for general education use. Children should use the app with parent or guardian supervision where required by local law.
