This Privacy Policy explains how the IELTS BandReady mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. We have built the App to be private by design.

In short: we do not collect, store, or share any personal data. The App works entirely on your device.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. The App does not ask you to create an account, does not require you to provide your name, email address, or any other personal details, and does not require an internet connection to function.

2. Information stored on your device

To make the App work, some information is stored locally on your device only, and is never transmitted to us or to any third party. This includes:

Your study preferences (target band, exam type, exam date, daily study time).
Your practice results, progress estimates, and study streak.
Your spaced-repetition review deck.

This data remains on your device. If you uninstall the App or use its "Start over" option, this information is permanently removed. We have no access to it and cannot recover it.

3. Microphone and speech

The App uses your device's built-in text-to-speech to read listening audio and model answers aloud. On the web version, an optional speech-recognition feature may use your browser's microphone so you can capture a spoken answer. Any such audio is processed by your device or browser in real time and is not recorded, stored, or sent to us. On mobile devices, the App captures your answers as typed text and does not access the microphone.

4. Data sharing and third parties

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any data, because we do not collect any. The App contains no advertising, no analytics, no trackers, and no third-party software development kits that collect data.

5. Children's privacy

The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It is suitable for general audiences.

6. Security

Because your information never leaves your device, it is protected by your device's own security. We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and protected with a passcode.

7. Your rights

Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our side. You are fully in control of the data on your device and can clear it at any time from within the App or by uninstalling it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
